Play Creation: Unleash Your Powers!

This class is for 1st-2nd Graders

Through dramatic play, improvisation, and imagination games we will explore drama technique and acting skills in this fun, lively acting class. Then we'll work together to create our own amazing original play inspired by the theme "Unleash Your Powers". There may be superheroes, wizards, magical fairies and other magical characters. Who will you be?

Broadway Review: Wicked

This class is for 3rd-5th Graders

A musical theater extravaganza! Students will learn songs and dances from the musical "Wicked," such as "Dancing Through Life.". This class will focus on building a character, stage presence, and acting a song. We will end our class with a fabulous musical revue complete with songs and an original scene!

Musical Theater Dance: Intermediate

Ths class is for 6th-12th Graders

This class will focus on intermediate dance technique that is fundamental for musical theater. Students will take away tools to increase flexibility and improve core strength, fundamental jazz dance technique, and explore acting through specificity of movement, dancing with strength, and acting/selling a dance number. The last part of class will be spent learning a routine that will help blend good dance technique with the performance aspect of musical theater dance.

Actor's Toolkit : Ace Your Audition

This class is for 3rd-5th Graders

Collect some tools for your actor’s toolkit! Students will learn basic theater etiquette as well as how to develop characters, improvise and work with other actors. This unit will focus on how to prepare for an audition including where to find auditions, how to choose audition pieces, and how to rehearse preparing a monologue for an upcoming audition. On the last day of class we’ll share our work with families and friends.

Voice: Disney Songs

Singing skills are essential to young performers interested in musical theater. In this beginning voice class, we'll learn voice technique as we explore songs of Disney! Then we'll learn acting and dance techniques to add to the music to create an amazing mini-concert for you at the end of the session.

Unarmed Fighting: Theory & Practice

This class is for students age 15+

Maybe you've played a role that required some onstage fighting. Maybe you've taken an intro stage combat class before. This class is not either of those situations. Instead, we'll combine discussions and workshops to get into the weeds of why our techniques work, and how we can use these techniques to tell a great story. Topics include: how to die onstage, sightlines in different orientations, physical character beats, and more. Athletic clothes & sneakers required. Growth mindset recommended.

This class is for 6th-12th Graders

In this beginning level tap dance class students will learn the basics of tap performance for musical theater. The class aims to give students confidence and begin to develop their technique. We'll focus on skill building and learning a few musical theater routines. On the final day of class we'll share our skills with family and friends in a final presentation.

Voice: Musical Revue

This class is for 3rd-5th Graders

Singing skills are essential to young performers interested in musical theater. Designed for students who want to study voice but are not ready to commit to private singing lessons, this small class is perfect for the aspiring performer. Students will choose a musical, such as "The Wizard of Oz", "Encanto", or "Cats", and prepare a musical performance of songs from this show. At the end of the session students will confidently sing for families and show off solo, duet, and ensemble vocal work!
