Musical Theater Fest: Dance Week
with Multiple Instructors
Ages 12 - Adult
Each Day, students will focus on the skills of a specific genre of dance taught by a new teacher/choreographer. Then they will learn a 1-2 minute dance in that style. At the end of the week, students will have an open presentation to share their work with friends and family.
Styles covered will include Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, and Modern Musical Theatre.
Skills learned will help students in picking up choreography quickly to succeed at dance calls and auditions as well as give an overview of what is expected of each style.
This program is open to students of all experience level, but it is recommended you have a basic background in dance or movement. However, we encourage all to join us and push yourself to try something new.
Classes are Jan 6 - 10; Monday - Friday from 6 - 9pm
The final presentation rehearsal will be Saturday January 11th from 3 - 5pm followed by a presentation open to the public at 6pm. Afterwards, participants are welcome to stay and enjoy a Musical Theatre open mic night at 7:30pm.
Musical Theatre Fest: 15-Minute Musical
with Multiple Instructors
For Students ages 10 - 19
Students will work in groups to write their own 15-minute musical based on a random prompt and song they will be assigned on their first day.
Each day will focus on a different aspect of the creative process:
Monday: Playwriting
Tuesday: Staging a Musical Number
Wednesday: Directing and Rehearsing
Thursday: Marketing
Friday: Technical Theatre
It is imperative to the success of the workshop that students be available for every meeting.
Meetings are Jan 20 - 254; Monday - Friday from 6 - 9pm
The final presentation rehearsal will be Saturday, January 25 from 3 - 5pm followed by a presentation open to the public at 6pm. Afterwards, participants are welcome to stay and enjoy a Musical Theatre open mic night at 7:30pm
Improv Troupe
Welcome to the exciting world of improv! Students will learn about thinking fast on their feet, working as an ensemble, creating stories and characters from scratch, as well as performing improv in front of others. They will create their own characters, and then monologues. They will learn to take risks and not be afraid of something not working. A great way to build confidence onstage!
For 6th - 12th graders.

Voice: Pop Songs
If your student loves singing along with the radio or Kidz Bop, this is the class for them! Singing skills are essential to young performers interested in musical theater. In this beginning voice class, we'll learn voice technique as we explore pop music! Then we'll learn acting and dance techniques to add to the music to create an amazing mini-concert for you at the end of the session.

Stand up Comedy
Come tell your favorite jokes, puns, and one liners! Students will learn about the art of stand-up comedy, and what it truly takes to make em' laugh. They will end with a comedy show performance on their last day.
For 3rd - 5th Graders.

Prop Creation
Do you want to "tech" a show? Maybe even work up to being a Props Designer? This is the perfect place to get training in the art of props design. Students will get hands-on experience by creating their own props, and showcasing them on the final day!
For 6th - 12th Graders.

Intro to Musical Theater Dance
In this Musical Theater Dance class, students will focus on learning stage presence, dance technique, musicality, and the basic elements of dance to popular musical theater music, past and present. Beginning dance students will leave this class with a better understanding of movement and with more confidence performing.
For 3rd - 5th Graders

Play Creation: Mystery and Magic
Through dramatic play, improvisation, and imagination games we will explore drama technique and acting skills in this fun, lively acting class. Then we'll work together to create our own amazing original play inspired by the theme "Mystery and Magic" There may be characters from "Harry Potter", "Percy Jackson", "Encanto" or anything from your imagination!
For 1st - 2nd graders.
