One Act Play

For 3rd - 5th Graders

Perform a scripted one act play complete with costumes and props! Students will develop a deeper understanding of stage fundamentals and character development through dynamic and fun exercises. We will work with a script, rehearse our play, and record it to share with our friends and family!

Broadway Review: Villainous

For 3rd-5th Grade

In this mini-musical, students learn basic rehearsal techniques and vocabulary as they put together a show! This original script based on popular villain stories such as the story of Cruella, Maleficent, Scar, Jafar, and more features enough roles for every student and songs sung by these villainous characters. We will work with a script, rehearse our play, and share with our friends and family!

Character Development and D&D (Section 1)

For 4th-8th Graders

Go on an epic quest while strengthening your acting skills in this class that pairs drama with the collaborative fantasy story-telling game Dungeons and Dragons. Using the D&D model you'll create a hero with a backstory. Then your drama instructor will guide you on how to bring that character to life using acting techniques, improv skills, and game play. Finally, we'll put our new skills to the test as we play a game of Dungeons and Dragons together.

Voice 1 - Broadway Solos

For 3rd - 5th graders

Singing skills are essential to young performers interested in musical theater. Designed for students who want to study voice but are not ready to commit to private singing lessons, this small class is perfect for the aspiring performer. Students will study musical terms and singing techniques and explore their voices through group songs and solos from Broadway and movie musicals. At the end of the session students will confidently sing solo for families and show off what they’ve learned!

Acting 1 - Actor's Toolbox

This acting class will provide students with the tools they need for a strong foundation in acting. We'll learn the “rules” of the stage as well as how to develop characters, improvise, and work with other actors in scenes. In this small class you’ll get focused feedback as you work with your peers on acting exercises and scenes.

Improv & Comedy

For 3rd-5th Graders

Have fun with the exciting world of improvisation and comedy! Students will learn about thinking fast on their feet, working as an ensemble, creating stories and performing improv in front of others. They will learn to take risks and not be afraid of something flopping. Each week we’ll focus on different aspects of improvisation and comedy to open up a whole new world of acting. A great way to build confidence onstage!
