Songs of Broadway (3-Day)

$205
Calendar Jul 1, 2024 at 9:15 am

For students entering 1st - 2nd grade this Fall

This week is only 3 days, so instead of putting on a play, we’ll be putting on a Broadway concert! Campers will work with their teachers to choose a few songs from classic Broadway shows such as Lion King, Annie, or Mary Poppins. Then they’ll learn singing, acting, and dancing skills as they rehearse their concert for a performance on the final day of camp.

TaleSpinners Camp: Create your own story and bring it to life on stage! Throughout the week TaleSpinners campers learn acting, playwriting, and design skills. Then, they work together to write an original play inspired by that week’s theme. They’ll act out their chosen characters, choose costumes, make props and set pieces, and perform their dazzling creation on the final day.

Calendar Jul 8, 2024 at 9 am

For students entering 3rd-5th grade this upcoming Fall

Do you have a student that loves pop radio and wants to claim their inner pop or rock star? Then, this is the camp for them. It’s a battle royale sing-off with Camp Pop vs Camp Grunge! Join Head Counselors Taylor Grande and Harry Mars as they face off with Counselor Kurt Vedder and the grunge campers for the title of Best Camp on Timber Lake. With exciting parts all inspired by real pop and rock stars, every student will get to sing parody versions of hit pop songs by artists such as Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, and Billie Eilish, as well as 90’s Seattle rock bands.

Summer Stage theater camps give 3rd – 5th graders the chance to rehearse and perform in a fully-staged musical or play, as well as participate in a variety of focused skill-building workshops and games. These shows are designed so that every participant has a part and a moment to shine. The two-week structure allows students more time to dive into acting and performance skills and rehearse a longer, more detailed play than they would in a one-week camp.

For students entering 3rd - 5th grade this upcoming Fall

What if the Disney villains had kids? Would the next generation still be evil? It’s up to you to decide as we write a play inspired by Descendants. We can use characters from the movies, such as Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vil; Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen; Jay, son of Jafar; and Mal, daughter of Maleficent, or create our own villainous descendant. Then we’ll perform for our families, and they can decide if good or evil prevails.

PlayMakers Camp: Put your amazing ideas into action! Playmakers students are both playwrights and actors. In this one week acting camp, students will learn acting skills and terminology. Then, they’ll use these skills to write an original play as a group, create characters, write dialogue, and show off their skills in a final performance. Young actors will have a blast in this creative acting camp!
